COVID-19 Crisis (Phase I)

COVID-19 Phase 1 Relief

Standing with Vulnerable Families During the Lockdown

The sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent national lockdown in early 2020 threw millions of daily wage earners, construction laborers, and migrant families into deep uncertainty. With jobs gone and transport suspended, starvation became a real threat.

Chhanyado immediately mobilized resources to launch **COVID-19 Crisis Response (Phase I)**. Operating under strict health protocols, our teams packaged and distributed comprehensive family dry-ration kits containing flour, pulses, cooking oil, rice, and basic spices.

In addition to grocery relief, the trust distributed over **50,000 surgical masks, sanitizers, and basic hygiene soaps** across slums and underprivileged neighborhoods of Surat and nearby tribal blocks to contain virus spread.
