Bhojanshala (Roti Seva)

Bhojanshala Dining

Feeding with Respect Since 1999

When patient relatives travel from distant rural areas and tribal regions to Surat’s New Civil Hospital, lodging and food expenses present major financial stress. Started as a basic nighttime resting shelter in 1992, Chhanyado established the **Bhojanshala** in 1999.

Our Bhojanshala provides freshly cooked, nutritious, and warm Gujarati meals (including roti, dal, rice, and vegetables) twice a day for a symbolic token charge of **only ₹3**. This token charge protects the dignity of the recipient, ensuring they feel like a customer rather than a recipient of charity.

Currently, the center serves **600 to 650 relatives daily**. The meals are prepared under strictly hygienic conditions using automated roti-makers and large steam vessels.
