At Chhanyado, we believe that cutting-edge medical technology should never be out of reach for those in need. That belief gave rise to the Aatmajyoti MRI Centre, established at New Civil Hospital Campus, Surat, under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with the Government of Gujarat.
Inaugurated on 15th May 2008 by the Hon’ble then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this center continues to stand as a beacon of affordable, accessible diagnostic care.
Technological Excellence
Equipped with the Siemens MAGNETOM ESSENZA 1.5T MRI scanner, Aatmajyoti MRI Centre offers high-precision imaging services, ensuring fast and reliable diagnosis – a critical component of effective treatment.
Free & Subsidized MRI Services
We proudly provide completely free MRI scans to patients from the following categories:
- BPL Card Holders (Below Poverty Line)
- Academically significant/teaching cases
- PLWHA (People Living With HIV/AIDS)
- Senior citizens (65+ years) who are economically underprivileged
(As referred by the Medical Superintendent, New Civil Hospital, Surat)
For all other patients, MRI scans are offered at up to 50% lower rates than those charged by private diagnostic centers in the open market.
Donor Support Impact
Thanks to the generosity of our donor community, we extend Rs. 18+ lakhs worth of additional MRI scan concessions each year to lower-middle-class and financially distressed patients who don’t qualify for government schemes but still need support.

Expansion of Diagnostic Care
Continuing our mission, Jivanjyot Diagnostic & Health Center was launched in October 2017 at Udhna Main Road (above Dream Honda Showroom), where MRI services are also available alongside other diagnostic solutions – making healthcare accessible in Surat’s industrial belt.
